HISTORY

The Foundation Scholarship was originally established as The Edward B. Ballard Scholarship Fund by the Potomac Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 2001. It honored the legacy of Mr. Ballard’s distinguished professional career and service as a chapter member.

The Potomac Chapter ASLA has established this endowment to support students who have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence in landscape architecture. This scholarship is intended to help Ballard scholars reach their educational goals and must be applied toward education related costs, including tuition, textbooks, studio fees, and any other fees associated with their studies.
